Jasline was a full time working mum to 2 high achieving kids, now aged 19 and 16. Academically, both children are the top 3% of their cohort in Singapore. Jasline was a Chartered Accountant by profession, graduated from Nanyang Technological University.
Her daughter, Vanessa , aged 19 had graduated from Dunman High School under the Integrated Program, a School Counselor, won five time the EAGLES award, a National recognition for students who are exceptional in their leadership abilities in their Co-curricular activities. She was in the Gifted Program since Primary 3 where she has been a veteran in the International Future Problem Solving Program. She had represented her school in many national and regional competitions in Maths and Science, such as the acclaimed National Science Challenge and even appeared on television in 2019. She continued to do well in her secondary school , in top placings in each year. Vanessa also earned positions in many hard to come-by overseas opportunities and has since gone to Thailand, China and Taiwan for immersion programs.
Her son, Ryan aged 16 is now in Hwa Chong Institution, chosen to be in the iSpark Gifted program. In Sec 3, he won the Top Chemistry and Biology award while in the Science and Maths Talent Program. He had won first prize in the Singapore Asian Schools Math Olympiad for consecutive 2 years in Primary 5 and 6. He had been diagnosed to suffer from Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD) in Primary 1 but became one of the top PSLE pupils in his school in 2019.
The journey with Ryan was indeed challenging for Jasline as she felt discouraged, frustrated, depressed often dealing with Ryan. She then understood how tough it was for many parents who wanted their children to excel in studies but didn't know how. Throughout the years of learning from books, school teachers and counsellors, she knew how to better parent Ryan who is short-tempered, dislikes learning and had bouts of disruptive behaviour in school. Being sane is not enough, Jasline knew many parents needed direction and strategies to cope. She knew she can share her strategies of grooming her two children to be high achievers even if they may have a child like Ryan, who was an active and disruptive. Jasline not only self learn, tried and tested the proven strategies.
Fueled with her passion to help other parents to cope better as parents, she has shared her parenting experiences as an International Speaker to thousands online. She has conducted many sessions of parenting course that involved parent-child activities. "10X your child's performance" is her most recent course that had many rave reviews on her Facebook Page
