My journey to meditation began in 2007 two years after my son’s passing due to a incurable genetic disorder. His passing left a void in my soul and heart. I began my spiritual search almost accidentally when I began to close my eyes and listen to my heart.
After almost 3000 hours of meditating, I left to Rishikesh (the city of yoga) to do my teacher’s certification on mediation. I now strive to inspire others to reach out to their inner being and find bliss and happiness. I would like to share with you the benefits that meditation and mindfulness have brought to my life.
Atisha Meditation Space was born to teach busy women how to incorporate meditations, mindfulness into our everyday lives as a form of self-care.
As moms, partners, friends, employees or bosses, we give so much love, time, energy, and effort into everything we do and sometimes at the risk of not getting it back in return or sacrificing our mental health.
Let’s keep it real, being the keeper of all the logistics in the house and the kids on top of running our own businesses or going to a full-time job are mentally exhausting!
Putting the needs of our children and partners have become ingrained in our psyche. Some say it’s our nature as mothers. But nature or learned, over time this behavior will lead to burnout leave us without anything left to give to ourselves.

Active and passive meditation, and mindfulness provide ways for working moms to connect with ourselves, take a breath and be in the present moment. It can allow us to provide self-care throughout our day so that we can play all of our numerous roles in a way that honors us. Through meditation, and mindfulness we learn to appreciate ourselves and our worth.

Within a few minutes, you will feel rejuvenated, focused and ready to take on the next task. Imagine taking mini-retreats throughout your day! These practices are not to replace the much needed ‘girl’s night out’ but they will help support you until the next time.


I have learned new techniques to help east stress and anxiety for both men and women. I truly hope to reach out to more through this ecourse!
